Who we are
We’re a few volunteers who maintain an events calendar for local comedy, and promote it using this site, our newsletter and social media.
As of the writing of this policy, the events calendar, blog and social media are our only projects. In the future we may organize events, offer tickets or merchandise for sale, or start up any number of comedy-related schemes.
As a subscriber to the newsletter:
We won’t sell your data. We don’t ask for more than we need to deliver the newsletter to you. We may ask for donations to help with the site, as part of our mailouts.
We use MailChimp to deliver the newsletter, and necessarily share some information with them, namely your email address. Mailchimp has their own policies, and you’ll see a link to the most current version of those on the signup form.
As an event organizer:
We’ll share the details of your event as widely as possible, which is the whole point. Anything you include in your original event description, or that you share with us directly, we’ll include in our listing, and could also use in social media posts and the newsletter. We won’t sell or share your personal data or contact information. We may contact you in relation to the postings, or in the general business of maintaining the calendar. We may ask you for donations to keep the project running.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
